Youth and Teen Engagement Administrative Coordinator 

JOB LOCATION: Temple Sinai of Roslyn, Roslyn Heights, NY

JOB TYPE: Part-Time [15-30 hours possible/wk]

SALARY RANGE: $25-$35/hr based on experience 

HOURS: Sunday through Thursday flexible schedule, dependent on direct youth & teen experience may include evenings and select weekends, Jewish Holidays- Rosh Hashanah & Yom Kippur expected.

Temple Sinai of Roslyn is home to one of the most vibrant and engaging Reform Jewish teen programs on Long Island, serving over 120 teens through six dynamic initiatives. Our programs include weekly leadership and learning experiences, monthly social events and community service opportunities, and immersive travel opportunities—all designed to help teens build confidence, community, and pride in their Jewish identity.

ABOUT THE POSITION

  We are seeking a Youth & Teen Engagement Administrative Coordinator to play a vital role in supporting the Director of Youth & Teen Engagement in this high energy, mission-driven department by supporting the Director of Youth & Teen Engagement in managing event logistics, calendaring and teen communication with professionalism, precision, and a great sense of humor.

SUPERVISION: This position reports to the Director of Youth & Teen Engagement 

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Administrative Support & Organization

  • Maintain calendars, schedules, reminders, and communications.
  • Track and manage registrations, RSVPs, and participant rosters.
  • Coordinate event logistics, including room setup, transportation, supplies, and food orders.
  • Prepare program materials and organize swag for weekly and monthly events.
  • Assist with communication and outreach emails, flyers, and social media.
  • Liaise with vendors and internal departments for event planning.
  • Pick up and drop off materials from local vendors as needed.

Data & Documentation

  • Maintain accurate attendance and participation records.
  • Keep teen contact lists and databases up to date.
  • Track budgets program budgets.
  • Collect and organize permission slips, waivers, and evaluations.

Program & Event Coordination

  • Prepare materials, signage, and supplies for all programs.
  • Assist in coordinating large-scale events and teen travel experiences.
  • Provide on-site support at events (including check-in, supervision, logistics).
  • Step in with a positive attitude to help wherever needed.
  • Optional: depending on experience, opportunities to engage directly with teens may be available.

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Strong time management and project coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Forms); familiarity with Canva or basic graphic design and social media platforms is a plus (or willingness to learn).
  • Comfortable working with youth and teens.
  • Collaborative, creative, and dependable with a can-do attitude.
  • Previous experience in administrative, project coordination, or programming support preferred.
  • Ability to run local errands as needed.
  • Jewish knowledge is a plus but not required.
